Which Thermomix® does this work with?
The TM7, TM6, TM5 and TM31. You pick yours once and every recipe after that is written for it.
Do I need a Cookidoo® subscription?
Yes. Saving your own recipes is a paid Cookidoo® feature, so you will need an active plan for the recipe to land in your account.
How much does chopr cost?
$39 for a year, or $5.99 a month. The $39 is for the first 200 subscribers; after that a year is $49. Before either, you can convert one of your own recipes for free, so you can see it work on your own handwriting before you decide.
Is there a limit?
Twenty recipes a month. Most people convert a handful, so you are unlikely to meet it, and if you ever do, tell us, because we would rather know.
What happens to my recipes if I stop paying?
The ones you already sent are in your Cookidoo® account and they stay there. They are yours, and nothing we do can take them back. You keep being able to read the ones on your chopr page too. You just cannot convert new ones until you start again.
Is the free one really free?
Yes. No card, no trial that quietly turns into a payment. One recipe of your own, converted properly, and then you decide.
What kinds of recipes can I convert?
Any recipe that has ingredients and steps. Copy it from a website, photograph a page from a cookbook, or type out the card someone in your family wrote. Messy is fine.
What if it gets something wrong?
You see everything before it goes anywhere. Every time, temperature, speed and ingredient can be changed, and nothing is sent until you press send.
Is my Cookidoo® password safe?
Yes. We never see it, and we could not if we wanted to. The part that does the sending runs inside your own browser, using the login you are already signed in with, so your password never reaches us. There is nothing on our side to lose.
Do you keep my recipes?
We keep the ones you convert, so you can find them again on your own page, which is yours alone and never shared, and you can delete any of them at any time. We keep what you started from too: the words you pasted, the link, or the photo you took of the page, so you can reopen a recipe, fix a word the model misread, or send it again without paying to convert it twice. Deleting the recipe removes the original with it.
Can I use it on my phone or tablet?
Not yet. chopr works in Chrome and Edge on a Mac or PC.
